Audrey Hepburn

Audrey Hepburn as my inspiring person


Edda Hepburn Ruston or we known as Audrey Hepburn. Audrey Hepburn was born on 4 May 1929. Her mother, Ella Van Heemsta, came from a nobel Dutch family. Meanwhile, her father, Joseph Hepburn Ruston, came from Irland. 

Her life stories not always as happy as we thought she was. There were one spot that she felt sadness that pretty deep. One of thing that made she felt that was when her father left the house and never came back. 
" The best thing to hold onto in life is each other"
That was what she said. One of the best thing in our life was have each other no matter what. That would be a memory that never be forgotten, especially for family.

In 1937, London. Audrey started her school in private school for girls, in small village, at Elham. It was so hard for her to made a friend because she had a trouble with her english. But, that made her liked to read books. As the time went on, there were a slight thought in her mind that she would be a famous ballerina. It begun when she watched a ballet concert. At this year, there were a world wide war II , that made Ella worried of Audrey. Then, Audrey came back to Arthem. And there, she was practicing so hard to become a ballerina.

In this war situation, made Audrey had less food and also made her nutrition went down. Because of that, she had Anemia. After healed, there was a good news that they now already free from the war. But the bad news was the ballet courses had been closed by the government. To accomplished Audrey dreamed, they moved to London, and Audrey started the ballet course again.

But, the things was not go well because she had 170cm tall and it was too tall for a ballerina and also because of her financial condition. In London, she started to moved to onother dream that maybe cometrue. She decided not to lose hope, so she tried her best. in 1948, she auditioned a drama musical and with a shocked , she was accepted to play her role in " High Button Shoes" drama musical. Followed in 1949 and 1950 with " Sauce Tartare" and " Sauce Piquante", and also in 1951 with " Secret People".

In 1951, a famous director, William Wyler, was looking for his main character. It was a long time to find the right person, until he knew about Audrey. And finally, he picked her for the movie. It called "Roman Holiday" . And also a drama musical with her, main character, in "Gigi".

Her hard worked to achieved something was one good example for us. She would tried her best in her whole life. She never gave up her dreams.

In 1952, she started to practiced her role in "Gigi" drama musical. She had to practiced her actings, her voice, and many mores. She got a little bit depressed because of her surrounding life or people. For the started, they had not notice anything special about Audrey, they underestimated her. But, after that drama musical , people gave a perfect respons. That made Audrey something. Then, she became famous and continued her job in her next movie, "Roman Holiday, in Rome. In 1953, she came to Hubert de Givency to made her a dressed for her movie "Sabrina". After that, she always went to him, when she needed a dress, she never go to someone else, that made her ,"Hepburn Style".

On September 25, 1854, Audrey married actor Mel Ferrer. She stared in films Funny Face (1957) and Love in the AfternoonAnd then, she gave a birth of her first son, Sean. After that, she got news from her managment that their production was not good without her and also Mel production's wasn't help. If she acted again, she would make a miracle. And she accepted the offered, and would be played the next film, Breakfast at Tiffany's. 

In 1985, Audrey spent her time in Swisss before she came back to Hollwod for the new film. At that time, Audrey had a baby again but she lost it. Not as usual, Mel ignored her and Sean. He only focused with his worked. And Audrey felt sad about it. And then, they got divorsed in 1968. On January, 19 1969, Audrey married Dr. Andrea Dotti. and she gave a birth her second son, Luca Dotti. But news about Dotti that had played many girls made Audrey sad, and decided to got a divorced.

Audrey devoted herself for humanity. She helped children, adults, and all in Africa. In 1976, she came back for a movies. And then she married Robert Wolders. And then she became a special ambassador UNICEF to help children and others in Latin America and Africa. She concived people in the world to help each other. Not only with their own country but other too. Help as much as we could do. She attended press converses , interviews, all of that made her down, she didn't keep her health a priority anymore. She always thought about people that she had to helped. And because of that, Audrey had difteria. But her condition wasn't go well, it got worst. And she had been told that she actually had a cancer.

At her last Christmast, she read her favorite poem to her children. And the time went on, she had passed away in 20 January 1993 , Swiss. She also got  an awards of a humanity Jean Herslot as her dedication on UNICEF.

Koala's life

KOALA


Now, I will tell you guys about this famous animal. You all must know about this animal. But, are you sure know it correctly? But it’s okay, because now I will tell you guys further about Koala.

The first thing that you must know is the classification of Koala. Why? Because if we know exactly about the classification then we will gonna find out something interesting there.

  • Phacolarctos’ comes from 2 Greek words: ‘phaskolos’ meaning pouch, and ‘arktos’ meaning bear. Cinereus means ash-coloured (grey). Why did they call bear? Because back in 200 years ago, European scientist declared that the closest mammals they could relate the Koala to at that time were bears.
  • There are the classification of Koala but that you all must have to know are the SUB -SPECIES.
  • There is some difference of opinion amongst the scientific community about whether there are two or three sub-species (or 'races') of Koalas, or if there are any sub-species at all. 
  • The sub-species are generally named : 
1.     Phascolarctos cinereus adustus from northern Queensland
2.     Phascolarctos cinereus cinereus from New South Wales
3.      Phascolarctos cinereus victor from Victoria
  • They all are based on differing physical characteristics.
So now we entering the Character, Skills, and also the uniques that Koala had in their whole life. 

- Koala's Character-

  • As you know, there are three type of Koala. So, they must have their own character.
  • The main differences are that Koalas in the south are quite a bit larger than those in the north and they also have thicker, fluffier, often darker and sometimes brownish fur. They have most likely evolved or adapted in this way because the winters in the south are colder than in the north. The Koalas in between fall somewhere in between these two different sets of characteristics. The distribution of the three sub-species has not yet been defined but has been delineated by the state boundaries. 
  • But, mainly they have soft, wool-like fur that is gray above and white below. Their fur is mostly white on the underside below the neck, and their ears have long white hairs on the tips. They resembles a bear, but is actually a marsupial, a special kind of mammal which carries its young in a pouch.
- Koala's Skills-

  • Koalas have special physical characteristics that complement their tree-dwelling lifestyle. With two opposable digits, their forepaws are well-adapted to gripping branches and picking eucalyptus leaves, their main form of nourishment. Tough textured skin on the soles of their feet along with long sharp claws provide traction, and strong thigh muscles aid in climbing. Extra thick fur on their bottoms and a cartilaginous pad at the base of their spines provide cushioning so koalas can sit comfortably on branches for hours. They also have a curved backbone and two fewer pairs of ribs than most mammals (11 instead of 13) creating a curled skeletal structure that fits well into the forks of trees.
  • In order to survive on such a low calorie diet, they conserve energy by moving slowly and sleeping around 20 hours a day. Koalas define their territories by making scratch marks on trees; males also secrete a sticky brown substance from a scent gland in their chests that they rub on the bark.
-Koalas's uniques-
  • There is a myth that Koalas sleep a lot because they ‘get drunk’ on gumleaves. Fortunately, this is not correct! Most of their time is spent sleeping because it requires a lot of energy to digest their toxic, fibrous, low-nutrition diet and sleeping is the best way to conserve energy.
  • An adult Koala eats about half a kilogram to one kilogram of leaves each night, depending on many factors, including the size and sex of the koala and where the Koala lives.
  • The koala cub stays in the mother's pouch for 5 months ,They also cub is blind when it's born. Koalas breed in the summer. They live for 20 or more years. and Koala can run as fast as a rabbit. 
- Koala's life cycle-


  • The breeding season for Koalas is approximately August to February. This is a time of increased amovement for Koalas, with sound levels increasing as males bellow more frequently. 
  • Females generally start breeding at about three or four years of age, usually producing one offspring each year. However, not all females in a wild population will breed each year; some produce offspring only every two or three years, depending on factors such as age and habitat quality. In the average female's 12-year life span, she may produce five or six offspring over her lifetime.
  • Once conceived, it is only 35 days before the birth of the baby Koala, called a "joey". The newborn is tiny (at roughly 2 centimetres long and less than 1 gram in weight), and looks like a pink jellybean; totally hairless, blind, with no ears. (first picture : newborn Koala).
  • The joey makes its way from the birth canal to the pouch completely unaided, relying on its already well-developed senses of smell and touch, strong forelimbs and claws and innate sense of direction.The young Koala only drinks its mother's milk for the first six to seven months and remains in the pouch for that time, slowly growing and developing eyes, ears and fur. At about 22 weeks, its eyes open and it begins to peep out of the pouch. From about 22 to 30 weeks, it begins to feed upon a substance called "pap". (second picture : "Joey" Koala).
  • As soon as it begins its diet of gumleaves, the young Koala grows at a much faster rate, becoming more adventurous as it grows bigger and stronger. At first, the young Koala cuddles into its mother’s belly for warmth and shelter but also rides on its mother’s back. Eventually, the young Koala will begin to make short trips away from its mother. From 12 months onwards, Koala joeys leave their mothers to find their own home ranges. That’s when life gets harder for young Koalas because they have to find their own territory -- somewhere with the right tree species with tasty gumleaves to eat and somewhere near to other Koalas. My Last Holiday

My Last Holiday : New Year's Eve in Australia


My last holiday was very nice. Because after 2 years , I came back to visit Australia. Australia is one of the tropical country that I ever visited. When I was in Junior High School, I came to Australia as a student, and now I came to Australia as me with my family. And it was so much fun when I went with my family. I went to Australia not just with my family but with my parents friends.

After I got my test result, I went to Batam first to visited my grandparents and my cousins. I stayed in Batam for one week. After that, 4 days later, I went to Australia. From Bandung , I didn't go straight to Australia, because my flight was from Bali to Australia. So From Bandung to Bali and then to Australia. It was kind of a tired day, because I needed to be in the three planes in the same day. So I think, It was kind of a whole day in the plane. My trip was in about 10 days.  My trip was not a short trip but neither a long trip. I only visited two city in Australia, Melbourne and Sydney.

First, I went to Melbourne. In Melbourne , I stayed for 4 days. I stayed in an apartment near a station because after Melbourne trip done I went to Sydney with a train. So, when I went to the apartment , I went straight to the room because I needed to took a bath. And after we all done get ready, we went out with a tram. We took a circular way , so it just went around the city. When we went in a tram, We didn't think to went down the tram. After 30 minutes in the tram, we kind of need a fresh air, so we did go down the tram. And we just walked around the city, took some photos too. After that, we went dinner, and went back to the apartment. For the 3 days later, we just have a trip by our own. Like, we went to the shopping center, beaches, a zoo, Luna Park, and Old Melbourne Gaol. After 4 days in Melbourne, I went to Sydney.

Before I went in to the train, it was about 30 minutes late for the train to went to Sydney. It was kind of annoyed me for a moment, because I still needed to sleep. So, the train was ready. I went in and I managed my carries in the train. For a moment, I thought it will be a short trip to Sydney, but the truth was not. It would be 12 hours trip to Sydney and I was surprised. But I thought I could enjoyed the trip. Besides, my sister was my chair-mate in the train, so I could just played with her in the train.
In the train, my activities was just sleep, play, and eat. and for the bonus I could enjoyed the mountain view. After 12 hours in the train, finally, I arrived in Sydney.

When I saw Sydney for the second time, I thought this city was much more modern than Melbourne. The people, the building, the train, and many spot. It was just amazed me. After that, we went to the hotel but still went with a train, but it was just two stations only. The hotel was near the station, so it wont be long. When I went to my room, I just wanna slept but I didn't go straight sleep, I needed to managed some other stuffs. So, the next day, it was 31st December 2017, We had a planed that we gonna celebrate new year's eve in the park across the Sydney Opera House. We prepared the new year's eve very soon, because there were so much people were searching a good spot for took a pictures. While waiting, we played, ate, took pictures, and had so much fun in there. And when the time came by, it was one minute left for new year's eve. It was so much fun. 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 , people were yelling and counted it together. And came the fireworks, It was a big, loud, beautiful fireworks I ever seen. It was about 15 minutes played. And after that we went back to the hotel. And three days later we just have a trip to several places in Sydney, like Bondi Beach, Darling harbor, Sydney Fish Market, Echo Park, Sydney Luna Park, and also the most interesting places was Sydney Opera House. And we also had a short shopping time.

After three days later, It was my last day in Australia, we went to the airport and went straight to Bali. when I arrived in Bali, I didn't go straight to Bandung, but stayed a night in Bali's Airport. And the next day, we went back to Bandung.
